The launch event was a burst of information in one place, with the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Fold 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro all bundled together. During the event, Samsung also shifted its focus towards being more sustainable and making its boxes smaller. Samsung's latest Galaxy Unpacked event was a virtual presentation showing off some of its most exciting devices for the second half of the year.
Samsung Z Fold4 - Unfold the latest technology
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 was no doubt the star of the event. It comes with a ton of improvements, including speedier performance to help make this foldable a multitasker's dream. This brand new model offers a massive quality-of-life improvement that might even tempt those with last year's model.
Foldable display from future - 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a beastly 7.6 inches dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display as a main display. In addition to this, the smartphone is equipped with QXGA+ resolution and a 21.6:18 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with an LTPO display and supports a refresh rate from 1Hz to up to 120Hz. Coming to the cover display, the device features a 6.2-inch HD+ dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
Z Fold 4 with the most powerful snapdragon processor
Samsung has blessed the Z Fold 4 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip has delivered strong benchmark results on Geekbench and 3DMark. This new foldable handset boasts a big battery that can make use of the high-end processor.
Samsung Z Fold 4 Camera specification
Samsung Z Fold 4 has five cameras. There is one on the cover display, one under-display camera on the main screen, and the remaining three on the back panel. Its triple rear camera is headlined by a 50 MP sensor paired with dual-pixel autofocus, optical image stabilisation and a field of view of 85 degrees. It also supports a 12 MP secondary camera with ultra-wide lens including 123 degrees of field of view. The third lens is a 10 MP sensor coupled with a telephoto lens.
Samsung Z Flip4 - The most loved foldable phone
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers plenty of enhancements including a larger battery, faster charging, and the most powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 lets you read notifications, respond to texts, skip songs, and change settings on the customizable cover screen without unfolding your phone. From taking hands-free selfies to making videos with the Flex Mode Camera, Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the ultimate tool for next-level expression. Flex Mode splits apps between the top and bottom portions of the screen when folded halfway. Not just this, Samsung is offering Z Flip 4 in Bora Purple, Graphite, and Pink Gold colour options.
Compact foldable display
When it comes to the foldable design, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a lot of refinements, such as a slimmer, lighter hinge and flatter edges. For the display, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. However, the cover screen measures 1.9 inches and it’s also a Super AMOLED. The cover display offers you useful information and access to things such as Samsung Wallet or SmartThings.
Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 with the Flip 4
Samsung went with the latest silicon from Qualcomm for its new Flip phone. Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 along with 8GB of RAM. This chip is a powerful option and an upgrade over the Snapdragon 888 in the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The GPU saw some improvements making the overall processing of Z Flip 4 a big hit among foldable.
Z Flip4 camera specs
Along with a performance bump, Z Flip 4 brings new advantages such as improvements to camera performance. The camera hardware consists of a pair of rear-facing 12 MP lenses (main and ultra-wide) and a front-facing 10 MP. Samsung did boost the cameras a bit by using a brighter main sensor for better low-light photos. The camera set-up is completely decent but with improved Night Mode.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Series is Here!
Along with an amazing smartphone lineup, Samsung is also offering two new smartwatches this year. Both the wearables come with mind-blowing improvements, including a massive battery, better design, and new features. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 comes in two models 40mm and 44mm. The former features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, while the latter boasts a larger 1.4-inch AMOLED display. Both the new smartwatches from Samsung run One UI 4.5 and are equipped with the Exynos W920 SoC. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 model packs a 284mAh battery while the 44mm variant ships with a 410mAh battery unit which is quite impressive.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes in a single variant of 45mm. The Pro smartwatch features a 1.4-inch AMOLED display that has 450 x 450 pixels resolution. The complete Watch 5 series is a huge addition to the Samsung ecosystem.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with major improvements
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 seem to be terrific earbuds irrespective of what phone you have. These are being rightly referred to as Samsung’s best-sounding, most comfortable buds yet. The Buds 2 Pro are 15 per cent smaller and lighter than Galaxy Buds Pro. These earbuds are at their best when operating in Samsung’s ecosystem but still plenty good with other Android devices. The Buds 2 Pro continues the same IPX7 water resistance rating as their predecessors. The active noise cancellation is also quite satisfactory as it fades the background audio convincingly. Samsung has discovered a winning formula of sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort.
