Introduction
After Samsung and Oppo, now Vivo is all set to launch its foldable smartphone! The expected name of this mobile phone has been told as Vivo X Fold. It is going to be the part of the X series of Vivo. This information about the upcoming mobile phone is shared by the famous tipster Digital Chain Station and this has been shared on the Chinese micro site named Weibo. This is where the major information about this upcoming smart phone’s specification has been revealed. Though the company is yet to confirm on the specifications and details about this upcoming smartphone.
Vivo X Fold Display Specs
When we talk about the Display of Vivo X Fold, it comes with a similar inner folding design like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and OPPO Find N. It features an “aerospace-grade floating wing hinge,” that assist the display to fold entirely flat without leaving any visible space. Unlike in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Vivo X Fold has no visible lines when the display is flat open.
This inward foldable smartphone is going to come with smaller AMOLED display with screen size of 6.53-inch at the front. The clamshell opens to disclose the bigger foldable display measuring 8.03-inch. When compared to Galaxy Z Fold, this display is bigger in size and in fact the size of the outer display is also more like any other regular smartphone. Both inner and outer display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and support HDR10+ content. The inner display of Vivo X Fold comes with an ultra-thin layer of glass (UTG) to provide added protection to the display. Vivo is also providing an anti-reflective coating on both of its panels to minimize glare.
Battery technology of X Fold
The Vivo X Fold phone comes with powerful 4600 mAh battery which is not that powerful considering the bigger size of the display. But on comparing its battery with similar phones it is big enough. This new phone from Vivo supports 66W wired faster charging and for wireless charging it supports 50W. Another unique feature this phone holds is that it also supports 10W reverse wireless charging.

The Vivo X Fold is speculated to come with powerful Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage choices for the customers.
Apart from the updated processor if we talk about the camera of Vivo X Fold’s primary camera, it is comprised of a 50MP sensor with OIS, it also comes with a 48MP ultra-wide-angle main camera that has a special 114-degree point of view and slows the user to click 12MP portrait pictures. It also comes with an 8MP OIS periscope telephoto camera along with 5x optical zoom options, 60x superzoom option, and supports up to 8K ultra-high-definition video shooting which sounds really cool! As it is foldable device, the rear camera of this phone operates as a selfie camera.

Vivo is stepping in the world of foldable devices and offer price could be a little low when compared to the already launched foldable devices from different brands. The price of the device can be comparatively less, but we are sure that Vivo is not going to compromise on the quality and features and is going to offer the best to its customer in that price. The estimated price of Vivo X Fold in Australia is going to be around AU$ 1871.

It has a single side-mounted fingerprint scanner. On performance front, Galaxy Z Fold 3 has the older Snapdragon 888 chip.
