- 08 Feb, 2022
Samsung has been continuously innovating through its phones which exceed industry standards. The smartphone giant has launched its Fan Edition handset called Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung has been acing the market of mid-range phones with improved system stability and enhanced performance. Samsung Galaxy FE 2022 packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Flat Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 SoC for different markets. It has support for 5G SA/NSA, up to 8GB RAM, features an in-display Optical Fingerprint Scanner, and runs Android 12. Samsung S20 FE specs have been left behind with the launch of the latest Fan Edition by the smartphone player. The new S21 FE phone brings key improvements along with massive upgrades.
Samsung mid-range phones design makes them everyone’s favourite
Samsung has combined the right features for the right price. The design of the Samsung S21 Fan Edition has a separate fan base because of its class-leading appearance. The all-new Galaxy S21 FE looks similar to the base Galaxy S21 model. It features a metal frame that supports the polycarbonate body. The back is composite plastic rather than a higher-end glass panel, just like the S21. However, the device does happen to be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S20 FE. It is just 7.9mm thin and weighs 177g, 13 grams less than its predecessor.
Samsung has placed all of the physical buttons on the right side of the frame. The Infinity-O cutout is also present on the display. The smartphone comes with a primary 12-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens with a 123-degree field of view and 8-megapixel Telephoto lens with OIS for 3X optical Zoom and up to 30X digital zoom. The camera setup of the S21 FE is the same as its predecessor. The phone also features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone’s body has IP68 ratings for water resistance and comes in White, Lavender, Graphite and Olive colours.
S21 Fan Edition Display - Smooth as feather strong as a rock
Samsung has mastered the art of designing and building displays. The Galaxy S21 FE comes with a flat display with thin bezels. The 6.4” amoled screen of the Samsung S21 FE is as elegant as it is quick. The vivid screen has a hidden fingerprint reader underneath and offers 120Hz performance. This offers butter-smooth performance to the new Fan Edition S21. The screen is made out of Gorilla Glass just like the rest of the S21s, and it is highly scratch resistant. The Gorilla Glass Victus protects the front panel and the frame, which is aluminium.
Samsung S21 FE camera clicking more than the reality
The camera department for the Galaxy S21 FE is in for some massive improvements. Samsung has improved the camera software along with features such as Night Mode, Zoom Lock, Dual Recording Mode, AI Face Restoration and Object Eraser. Its unique design makes room for three vertically-aligned rear cameras and a centre-placed punch-hole on the front. The camera setup has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera at the back accompanied by a 12-megapixel wide sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that supports 3x optical zoom.
These three lenses will give customers the most versatility when it comes to smartphone cameras. There is also a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the Infinity-O cutout at the front. Samsung promises significant improvement in photo processing, even at night, and some neat post-processing tricks such as the object removal tool. The overall camera performance is above standards with the new additions. Users can enjoy photos that are bright and saturated. The night mode also renders an impressive amount of detail to your clicks.
Exynos 2100 boosting Samsung Galaxy S21 FE?
Samsung has used both Exynos and Snapdragon SoCs for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE depending on the market. The FE version of Galaxy S21 will have both Snapdragon and Exynos versions. However, in the regions of Australia and New Zealand, Galaxy S21FE will be available with Exynos. There are also choices available for RAM and storage - 6/128GB or 8/256GB - although that will impact the pricing a little. The S21 FE has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 15W fast wireless charging and faster 25W wired charging.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition went official in September 2020 and has reportedly sold more than 10 million units globally since its launch. This has massively driven Samsung into launching more mid-range phones like S20 FE. With the list of specs that Samsung S20 FE offers, it has reportedly become one of the company's best-selling Galaxy smartphones over the past year. The same is expected from the launch of Samsung Galaxy 2022 as well. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is the price-down version of the Galaxy S21. Not just this, looking at the success rates of these Samsung Fan Editions, more such phones can be easily speculated on in the near future. Samsung has figured out this winning formula for the smartphone market and is sticking to it.
