The previous versions of ‌AirPods Pro‌ already featured a shorter stem as compared to the standard AirPods, but we are speculating that the second-generation version of the AirPods could possibly come with no stem at all.
If we go with new by Bloomberg, Apple is looking forward to making ‌AirPods Pro‌ 2 more efficient and compact thus they might eliminate the short stem that spikes out from the bottom. Apple is still in the testing phase of a slightly more rounded shape, which clearly indicates that the AirPods 2 might appear more like the Google Pixel Buds or the Samsung Galaxy Buds, both are stemless. What is the final design of the AirPods Pro 2 and how the latest AirPods will look, we will have to wait for its launch. It is speculated that the all new AirPods Pro 2 will come with a more streamlined look, possibly eliminating the stems as seen in the previous AirPods.

AirPods Pro 2 Price and launch date in Australia

If we go with the sequence, Apple launched its first pair of AirPods on December 13, 2016, with the updated second-generation AirPods on March 20, 2019, and then later came third gen AirPods in October 2021. Taking this sequence into consideration, there's good reason to believe the next pair of AirPods Pro will be available for us somewhere between June to October 2022

The price of upcoming AirPods Pro is yet to be confirmed, but based on a few previous price points, we are assuming that they'll cost around $249 (about £180 / AU$350), which is like the price of the original AirPods Pro. If at all we get a budget-friendly version of the AirPods Pro 2, that would really be a thing for the competition with a truly affordable pair of Apple earbuds.
